Make stunning cakes in no time once you learn simple decorating techniques like dots, stars, leaves and rosettes. Your instructor will teach the basics of working with bags and tips, about icing consistency, and how to put these techniques together.

Do you find it challenging to get a smooth finish on your iced cakes? Let our instructor show you how to achieve smooth coverage on your cakes. You will learn to add a crumb coat and two methods to put icing on the cake. Then we’ll show you the tips to getting that smooth finish.

Learn how to create fondant mermaid tails and other sea life as well as a variety of buttercream piping techniques using star and petal tips. Our instructor will also teach you how to add variegated color effects to your fondant and buttercream.

Learn to decorate your cakes with a modern take on the classic Lambeth Method of decorating. You will learn seven techniques that can be used to create your own version of a Lambeth style cake. In addition, you will learn how to layer the techniques to create lovely swags and borders, perfect for dressing up a cake for any occasion.

Your instructor will teach you fondant basics so you can top your cookies with fondant cut-outs to use as a canvas. There’s nothing more fun than sprinkles on a cake. In this class you will work with your instructor to completely cover the sides of your cake with the sprinkles. Then you’ll top off your cake with one of our easy border techniques, plus, you guessed it, more sprinkles!

Create the ultimate cupcake for your family and friends. Learn how to mix piping techniques, candy bark, candy drips, and sprinkles to create unique and stunning small treats that will delight all ages.
Flowers brighten up everyone’s day and these fondant flowers are no exception. You will learn the basics of working with fondant and how to make five different flowers, and leaves that will take your cake from drab to fab in no time.
Q: How does a virtual class work?
A: Wilton Virtual Classes will be conducted using MindBody Livestream, a video teaching platform. Instructions for using the platform will be sent to you in advance of your session.
Q: Who will be teaching these classes?
A: Your live online classes will be taught by Wilton trained instructors. These instructors have extensive teaching and cake decorating experience.
Q: Will I need any supplies for my class?
A: Yes – a basic supply list can be found with the class description above. This is a hands-on class where you will receive coaching and feedback from the instructor in real time as you decorate together. Supplies can be purchased online at https://www.wilton.com/virtual-class-supplies/, on Amazon or at your local Walmart or JoAnn store.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Tuition for classes is based on the length of the class and whether it is a one on one or group class. See above. Cost of supplies will vary by class.
Q: Will I receive a discount on my supplies?
A: Yes, you will receive a coupon code for 15% off Wilton products when you register for a class. It can be used only on Wilton.com, not combined with any other offer, and excludes clearance items. The code will be valid for 1 month.
Q: Do I need to get others to join me for a group class?
A: You can, but it isn’t necessary. There will be four spots available for the class. You can invite others to sign up for the same class or make new friends with others who sign up.
Q: How long is each class?
A: Classes vary in length depending on the class. We offer 30-minute, 60-minute, and 90-minute classes. Due to scheduling limits for instructors, all classes will have a hard stop at their designated time.
Q: Are these classes available in Spanish or other languages besides English?
A: Yes, our virtual classes are available in English and Spanish. The language the class is taught in is clearly noted in the class title.
Q: What will I learn?
A: The 30-minute class topics currently available are: Buttercream Basics and Learn the Wilton Rose. The 60-minute topics available are: Ice a Cake, Buttercream Painting, Easy Cookie Decorating, and Candy Basics. Our 90-minute classes include: Buttercream Flowers, Wrapped Buttercream Transfer, Ladybug Love Cupcakes, and Dogs & Cats Cupcakes.
Q: How far in advance do I need to sign up for a class?
A: You will need to sign up at least 3 business days in advance. Any class that does not meet the minimum enrollment at least 3 days prior to the start time will be canceled by Wilton.
Q: Is there a waitlist if the class I want is full?
A: Yes. If the class you want is full, contact wiltonschool@wilton.com. You will be notified if there is a cancellation and your name is next on the list.
Q: What if I need to learn something different than what the classes offer?
A: At this time, Wilton live online classes are limited to the listed techniques. If there is a technique you’d like us to include in future offerings, please email your suggestion to wiltoneducationalmarketing@wilton.com. Be sure to check our YouTube channel for instructional videos on the topic of your choice and Wilton.com for how to pages on many additional techniques.
Q: What if I need more help than the class provides?
A: As your instructor guides you through your class, she will provide tips and suggestions to help you continue practicing on your own. In addition, you will receive a follow up email after your session that includes a list of resources to further assist you.
Q: I’m not available during the listed days and times, can I still request a class?
A: We cannot guarantee that we can offer classes outside of what is scheduled. Please email us at wiltoneducationalmarketing@wilton.com and let us know what time and day you would like to see classes scheduled. We will see if any of our instructors are available to meet your request.
Q: Can I get a refund if I have to cancel a class?
A: A refund will be given if you cancel at least 1 full business day in advance. Please contact wiltonschool@wilton.com or call 630-810-2888 to cancel.
Q: Can I sign up for more than one class?
A: Yes, you can sign up for as many classes as you would like.
